Anna Kavan Society Executive Committee

Victoria Walker (Chair) completed her PhD on Anna Kavan in 2012. She teaches in the English Department at Queen Mary, University of London.

Hannah Van Hove (Secretary) lives and works in Glasgow. She completed a PhD on the work of Anna Kavan, Alexander Trocchi and Ann Quin at the University of Glasgow in 2017.

Rose Knox-Peebles (née Latch) is a writer, art collector and model who was one of Anna Kavan's close friends. She is a trustee of the arts charity Outside In, which works to create a fairer and more inclusive art world.

Jennifer Sturm is a writer and researcher. Her book Anna Kavan's New Zealand: A Pacific interlude in a turbulent life was published in 2009.

Events

The first Anna Kavan Symposium took place in 2014 at the Institute of English Studies in London. For news of forthcoming events, please sign up to join the Society.
